Carnell are celebrating winning the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Gold Award.  This follows 4 successive Silver Awards, and is testament to the hard work of the whole SHEQ team in improving on what were already high standards.

The award will be presented to David Rhodes, Carnell SHEQ Director, by Lord Jordan of Bournville , RoSPA President, during a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, on Wednesday May 12th.

David Rawlins, RoSPA Awards Manager, said: "Carnell have shown a commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its employees and others.  RoSPA is delighted to publicly honour an organisation which has demonstrated their work to improve performance in this sphere."

The RoSPA Awards scheme is not only about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill-health at work; it also encourages organisations to develop robust health and safety management systems.

On hearing about the success, Darren Nelson, Carnell Chief Executive, commented:  "The safety of the workforce is our number one priority, we are proud of our efforts and will continue to invest into all aspects of Health and Safety."
