Carnell were finalists at the 2021 Inspire Awards in the ‘Most Inspiring Contractor’ category.
The Inspire Awards celebrate diversity & inclusion in UK construction, engineering & housing sectors. Although we missed out on the ultimate prize at the virtual ceremony held on 8 July, we are proud to have been shortlisted alongside Fortem, Taylor Woodrow and winner Higgins Partnerships.
The Most Inspiring Contractor category recognises companies working within the construction sector, which seek to create an inclusive environment, not just within the workplace but also through the projects that they deliver. This is a reflection of the work we have done so far to lead the way on inclusion and tackling inequality.
The judges commented: “Through their Employment and Skills Plan, Carnell are embedding an inclusive and progressive culture that supports all of their workforce. Their strengths lie in engaging with the communities in which they operate, supporting customers, schools and social enterprises to promote the construction industry. They are on the journey to becoming a truly inclusive business.”
