Date

Job Purpose

• Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager and Project Managers to provide scheme support.
• Deliver autonomous engineering and management assistance.
• Aid in the tendering process new projects and actively monitor the progress of the works delivery scheme.

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Responsibilities – but not limited to:

• Ensure the safe execution of all assigned works in compliance with our SHE Management system, ensuring the wellbeing of workers, sub-contractors, site visitors and the public.
• Regularly compose and review all essential health and safety documentation such as construction phase plans, RAMS, and job packs.
• Foster the development of efficient and productive works teams, inspiring individuals to achieve targets.
• Engage with clients and cultivate strong business relationships.
• Conduct site visits prior to tendering and provide reports to the commercial department for pricing purposes.
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting site drawings and specifications.
• Identify temporary works items on projects and establish a register for temporary works.
• Supervise and verify temporary works elements in accordance with prepared designs.
• Independently generate and compile comprehensive records to complete scheme Health and Safety files.
• Display a thorough understanding of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPS) and their role in matching quality control on site.

Qualifications and Experience

• HNC/ HND – Civil Engineering.
• CSCS Manager Card
• SMSTS
• Confident using MS Project
• Previous experience in a similar role in the Highways/Civil Engineering industry
• NRSWA Accreditation – Desirable
