Are you a skilled and motivated electrician looking for an exciting role where you can make a difference? We’re seeking a Highways Electrician to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and improving the UK’s infrastructure.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Highways Electrician, you’ll:
- Work on a variety of electrical tasks, including cable installation, termination, lantern replacements, fault finding, and repairs.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and certification of both new and existing installations.
- Collaborate with supervisors and managers to plan and execute tasks effectively.
- Ensure all work meets high standards of quality and electrical safety.
- Provide accurate and timely results from testing and inspections.
- Keep your company vehicle organized and stocked for efficient operations.
- Complete necessary documentation such as DDR and Fast Field logs.
- Follow all Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMs) and adhere to safety policies.
This role requires flexibility to work away from home across the UK, including night shifts.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- An up-to-date CSCS card or to be working towards HERS accreditation.
- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., City and Guilds).
- BS7671 18th Edition Regulations certification.
- 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification (or HERS 714/715 equivalent).
- A full, clean driving licence.
- A solid understanding of health and safety legislation.
Bonus Skills (Desirable but Not Essential):
- MEWP IPAF qualification.
- G39 qualification.
