As a Highways Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for the effective planning, design, and delivery of highway projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and local authorities to achieve successful project outcomes.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

As an Engineer, you will be ensuring that our projects are executed smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Produce and review permits to break ground to a high-quality standard.
  • Quality assurance and quality control teams to develop processes, test procedures and implement systems that ensure the products and processes fulfil quality standards.
  • Ensure ITP quality checks are in place and frequent reviews are carried out
  • Manage MAR Process and work specification.
  • Issuing and controlling RAMs
  • Cat & Genny surveys and reviewing stats
  • Issuing and controlling permits
  • Setting out on site
  • Document control

Here are the qualities we are looking for in our Engineers:

  • Highways or Civil & Drainage experience
  • CSCS Black / Gold Card
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • Conversant with CDM / principal contractor duties
  • Understanding of National Highways specifications and expectations
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication
  • Ability to work as a part of a team.
  • Valid UK Driving License
  • Flexibility to be able to work from home
