Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for AGC, ensuring projects align with business objectives and client expectations.
- Oversee the delivery of contracts, ensuring compliance with SHEQ standards, health and safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Manage client relationships, fostering long-term partnerships and identifying opportunities beyond National Highways.
- Plan and coordinate site works, ensuring efficient scheduling, resource allocation, and effective utilisation of plant and labour.
- Mentor and develop Contract Managers, Barrier Managers, Supervisors, and Foremen, promoting a culture of high performance and professional growth.
- Monitor contracts, budgets, and working hours, ensuring cost-effectiveness and workforce well-being.
- Ensure all work meets ISO9001 documentation requirements and industry best practices.
- Attend and contribute to client engagement and community meetings, supporting work allocation and relationship-building efforts.

Here are the qualities we are looking for in our Operations Manager
Proven experience in Operations Management within the construction industry.
Strong technical knowledge of highways vehicle restraints, including CD377, CS46, CG300, MCHW, DMRB
A degree or equivalent (HND/HNC) in construction management or project management
Comprehensive understanding of health & safety legislation and risk management
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, and Word, with strong analytical and reporting skills
Exceptional leadership and team development capabilities.
UK driving license required
Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
