Carnell received the prestigious RoSPA President’s Award after achieving 10 consecutive Gold Awards in recognition of their practices and achievements in helping their work force get home safely at the end of the working day.
The internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards are the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK. They recognise achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
David Foster Carnell’s SHEQ Director said “This is a fantastic achievement for the business, as the health and safety of our workforce is our first priority. The message from the Chief Executive, communicated to the whole team, is that they must ‘stop work if they feel unsafe’. The RoSPA President’s Award demonstrates that we have put robust processes in place over the last decade to keep everyone safe on our sites and that these have been adopted and enforced by our workforce. It’s a feat that we can all be proud of.”
The RoSPA Awards are highly-respected, with almost 2,000 entrants every year from across the globe. Carnell will be presented with the award during a ceremony at Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel on 6 June 2019.
