Electrical Project Manager

Role

To manage electrical schemes from ECI to completion. Day to day running of electrical team ensuring efficient use of recourses. Liaise with client including client supervision on site, Carnell Contracts managers and other departments within Carnell

 

Responsibilities – but not limited to:

  • Liaise with electrical supervisor/site supervisor/manager to outline works set out to be done
  • Ensure all works carried out are to a high standard both in quality and electrical safety
  • Put together works information packs (SWP/PMP)
  • Give accurate timely results from testing and inspections
  • Organise and prioritise your work out on site to ensure deadlines are met
  • Carry out site safety audits on a monthly basis
  • Complete all necessary documentation such as DDR and Fast Field log system.
  • Set up of site compounds
  • Look out for lean opportunities within the business
  • Ensure all as build and test certificates are produced and submitted in a timely manner
  • Ensure all RAMS are read, understood and followed
  • Adhere to all Carnell and client’s safety rules and policies
  • Work considerately and take into account the requirements of customers – road users/ local communities, always interacting with them in a courteous way

 

Qualifications / Experience

  • Time served electrician with recognised City and Guilds (or equivalent) electrical qualifications.
  • HERS recognized NVQ Level 3 (or in progress)
  • Full clean driving licence
  • An understanding of relevant health & safety legislation
  • BS7671 current wiring regulations
  • Able to read and understand site drawings and test certificates
  • Professional attitude and ability to operate with minimum supervision
  • Understanding of Microsoft Project
  • SMSTS qualification
  • Capable of relaying accurate information back to supervisors and managers
  • BS7671 2391(or equivalent) testing and inspection qualification (preferable)
  • Experience in Highways communication installations (preferable)
