To work as part of a Carnell survey team for the Water Management Division, undertaking drainage asset inventory, condition and mapping surveys on the Highways business sector throughout the UK. Utilising Carnell bespoke software to capture drainage asset data using GPS handheld equipment in GIS format to allow all information to be mapped for the client.
To undergo training and coaching to enable effective and efficient projects.
Have a detailed understanding of CS 551 Drainage Survey, CD 535 Drainage Asset Data and Risk Management, and Interim Guidance Note for Round-Tripping Drainage Data.
To work with the supervisor regarding project start-ups, close downs and changeovers of projects.
Work with the supervisor to meet project deadlines, and relevant management targets.
Responsible for working to a day/night shift schedule to include work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up absent employees, and shift rotations.
Responsible for quality control for the work carried out.
Work considerately and take into account the requirements of customers – road users/ local communities, always interacting with them in a courteous way.
