Hours: Full Time, Permanent role

 

Roles / Responsibilities:

As the Project Manager you will oversee projects from start to finish. You will be responsible for the onsite operations, including all levels of operatives / supervisors/ engineers.

You will take responsibility for all aspects of an individual contract, i.e. commercial, programming, resources, health, safety, quality, environmental, etc and ensure that all client timescales are met without exposing Carnell to risk. Therefore, you will need to work as part of a team and express excellent communication skills.

You will develop the employee resources allocated to the contract and ensure cooperation throughout the team is achieved.

We are seeking a Project Manager who is driven, hardworking, flexible, reliable and most importantly can identify safe/unsafe working conditions.

As a Project Manager it is essential you have the ability to work both nights /days and when required work away from home.

 

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of Project Managing
  • Minimum 2 years Civil engineering experience, including drainage, earthworks, fencing, kerbing etc
  • Minimum 12 months highways experience
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of NEC Form of Contract
  • Good understanding of collaboration

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Professional attitude and ability to operate without supervision
  • Capable of teaching and developing operatives
  • Good commercial awareness
  • An understanding of relevant Health & Safety legislation
  • Full clean driving licence
