In January, Carnell celebrated the anniversary of regaining their Zero AFR status, meaning it is over two years since they had a RIDDOR reportable injury. This coincides with passing the milestone of 1.5 million safe working hours.
SHEQ Director David Foster said: “These achievements are not only the result of both the culture and systems we have developed over the years, but the approach our employees have to working safely. As we all know, this is not a time to rest on our laurels, but another opportunity to improve our working environment.”
Carnell support the Highways England safety imperative: ‘Our aim is that no one should be harmed when travelling or working on the strategic road network. We care about each other, our suppliers, our customers and communities.’
