We raised the union flag for the Primary School next door, ahead of their Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
St Michael’s First School, which is next door to Gothic House in Penkridge, got in touch to ask if we could ‘put up the Union Flag on our flagpole for the jubilee’. Electrical Contract Manager Mark Freeman was able to answer the call for help and dispatched Electrical Supervisor James Lewis along with a MEWP. We also had STEM ambassador Tom Wilson on hand, to teach the children the history behind the flag and what it represents, and our Digital Marketing Apprentice Grace Owen was there to capture all the excitement for us to share.
There were cheers from the assembled children and teachers once the flag was flying – well done to everyone involved!
