We are proud to announce that Carnell has successfully achieved PAS 2080 certification, a significant milestone that reinforces our commitment to robust, transparent, and continually improving carbon management across our operations.
PAS 2080 is the leading global standard for managing carbon in infrastructure. Achieving certification demonstrates that we have the right leadership, processes, and culture in place to reduce emissions in a meaningful and measurable way which supports both our clients’ ambitions and the wider industry’s transition to a low‑carbon future.
During the assessment, BSI highlighted that: “Carnell demonstrated capability to deliver carbon management as a Constructor supporting the organisation’s strategy. This was demonstrated through the sampled projects and processes embedded within the business.”
This independent recognition reflects the strength of our approach across several key areas:
Leadership – Clear direction and accountability for carbon reduction.
Training, Competence & Communications – Ensuring our people have the knowledge and confidence to act.
Carbon Management Processes – Robust systems that support consistent, data‑driven decision‑making.
Carbon Management Implementation – Practical application of carbon‑reducing methods across projects.
Procurement – Integrating low‑carbon considerations into our supply chain.
Continual Improvement & Collaboration – Working with partners to accelerate innovation and share best practice.
This achievement is the result of dedication, preparation, and expertise across the business. We extend a huge thank you to Danny Pitcher, Jenaine Taylor, Wayne Musgrave and Emily Clark for their leadership throughout the assessment process and for championing the standards that underpin our certification.
