On the eve of ‘International Women in Engineering Day’ #INWED22 Carnell have become platinum members of Women into Construction CIC.
Managing Director Andrew Sharp said: “Carnell are delighted to be joining Women into Construction. We see this as a great opportunity to play our part in promoting gender equality in construction. Our whole team are passionate about this and see it as a catalyst for positive change in the industry. Our mission is to ’To raise the threshold of excellence in highway maintenance and inspire others’ and we believe WIC can support us in delivering this.”
Women into Construction is an independent not-for-profit organisation that promotes gender equality in construction. They provide bespoke support to women wishing to work in the construction industry and assist contractors to recruit highly motivated, trained women, helping to reduce skills gaps and create a more gender-equal workforce.
One of the benefits is that we can publish our job opportunities on their website, which will encourage a more diverse workforce and help reduce the skills gap.
Carnell support this scheme and will continue to use the advice and support available to work towards a more inclusive workplace for all.
