Carnell awarded CIPS Corporate Ethics certification

Date

Carnell has been awarded the CIPS Corporate Ethics certification from CIPS – The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply for our continuing commitment to ethical sourcing and supplier management.

In a message to Wayne Musgrave, Senior Buyer at Carnell, Andrew Sharp commented: “A fantastic achievement, well done to everyone who has been a part of the journey and to you for leading the team through this. It is a real statement of intent on how we want to do business, with the right values at our core.”

Some of the activities required to gain the kitemark included adopting an ethical sourcing policy that includes all the key principles within the CIPS Code, reviewing and adapting our supply chain approval process, and ensuring all employees responsible for selection and sourcing of suppliers complete the CIPS Ethical Procurement and Supply coursework and pass a series of tests. For Carnell this meant fourteen people including two company directors, all of whom have to re-visit the coursework and pass new tests annually to retain the Kitemark.

As a result, Carnell has been added to the CIPS professional ethics register, one of only 84 companies worldwide with this accolade:
