We have officially launched a partnership with Emmaus, a UK based charity that provides a home, meaningful work, and personal support to people who have experienced homelessness.

To mark the beginning of this collaboration, we visited the Emmaus funded organisation in Preston. We were shown around the charity’s self-funded department store and the nearby accommodation which the companions live in, both central to Emmaus’s unique model, which enables companions to rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.

During the visit, current and former companions shared their experiences of overcoming homelessness. Their personal stories, coupled with the guidance of Emmaus’s dedicated mentors, left a lasting impression on the visiting team.

The visit also provided the opportunity to identify key ways in which Carnell can contribute time, skills, and services to support Emmaus’s work going forward.
